Peacin' out for good.

Where The Wild Things Are

Those of you who grew up in the 90's might remember this from a book...I'm still in disbelief that they're actually making a movie out of it. And the trailer looks incredible on top of it.

Who knows, I might get inspired to continue thinking about a tight enough concept for a children's book. I already have one in mind and it came to me in a dream. Seriously. I woke up right after the dream and wrote it down in my diary...

Speaking of diaries, I need to write a sxsw blog soon, before I forget too many details.

Ok it's midnight and I've managed to do absolutely nothing today. Tomorrow is school and so I should be getting ready for bed.

Love

I wrote a poem in semi-prose form. It is inspired by a poem called "Song" by Brigit Peegen Kelly. Although that poem inspires every poem I write.

It will most likely be revised a thousand times, but for now, enjoy

Love

When it flew in it perched itself on a picket fence.
Nobody saw it sitting there nibbling on a dead worm.
Until one fateful day. A little boy noticed the sparrow
One afternoon in the break of day by the railroad tracks.
He took the bird home and fed it.
The bird sang to him at night.
He sang a song that warmed the boy inside.
The boy kept the bird until it flew away.
A man in a suit was the next to find the bird.
This time he didn’t feed it. He didn’t nurture it.
He wanted to kill it because of the song.
The sweet song. But it sang to keep the peace.
It sang to call out to its own heart.
After the man chopped off its head.
The man was a rich man. He was rich
Like diamonds in caves. He was rich like a man
Able to buy a million singing sparrows.
He was in void of worry or regret while
The bird was half a bird. By the train tracks
The beating never stops. It shakes the ground.
While the song fills the air the heart crawls to the head.
The little boy wanted the bird back.
He searched for it in the night and the day.
He walked in circles to find the bird.
The boy missed its innocence. He cried when he
Saw what was left of the bird by the tracks.
The boy went home and thought about the sparrow
For years. He wondered why anyone would want to harm
A miracle. The sparrow was half a bird but it still Sang.
The song filled the air to the stinging sound
Of the freight train. The song sounds like a desperate
Man calling out to his dead child.

Blog Space

I just recently got a Twitter which I was debating about in my head for a while. Do I honestly need another reason to procrastinate? But I'm sure even without this internet technology that I'd find some way to not do my homework or study or do anything that requires me to use a significant amount of brain power. I'm a modern day cave woman. At least I can love.

That's all that matters anyway right? Love is all we need. After all it's the love of ourselves that keeps us propelling our bodies forward into the world/lion's den. We are all prey to the world and subject to become victims of natural selection. Only the truly fit shall prosper...and if you believe that than you might as well cease to exist. Honesty won't get you to the top. Neither will being nice. There's a reason why they call money "the root of all evil". Love is all we truly need. Even those people who love money need love. It was their love for money that got them their riches (in this world) but then what?

Anyway I feel like I've been rambling about this subject for too long now. I'm starting to sound like:

So I've added a couple new links to the right side of my page. Infowars.com and lookbook.nu. If you have a craving for conspiracy theory based news and street fashion then those sites will give you a good fix =P

As for me, I'm going to continue looking out of these eyes with my outlook more optimistic than ever before <3

Adios.

My current obsession

Alexander McQueen. He is to fashion as I am to poetry. A surrealist explosion.

I want my boyfriend to dress like this:

Sometimes I wish I were a boy so I could wear these awesome clothes.

Despite the weirdness (which I love) you could totally pull off wearing his clothes in real life. I would =D

Something wicked this way comes.

For years now many people (scholars, economists, Ron Paul) saw this crisis coming. For years these people have been warning the government and the people that our economy is on a downward spiral towards something worse than the Great Depression. The government called these people crazy and continued to print more money from the Federal Reserve - which got us into this problem in the first place - and now they plan to force us to bail out the crooks in Wall Street. This is completely unconstitutional. The government, by law, is supposed to stay out of free enterprise and let the economy work out itself.

But of course that is irrelevant. The constitution has been neglected and mocked so much by our government that it might as well just disappear all together. The sad part about it is that they aren't even trying to hide it anymore.

This puts America in a difficult situation. How do we regain our rights? Why oh why are we paying for the mistakes that the greedy criminals on Wall Street made? They're telling us that this is the only way to help our economy. Those banks got themselves into this crisis, THEY should have to pay for it! But instead, the white house wants to bail them out so that they don't have to downgrade their already extravagant lifestyles (bought off the backs of the people) to a more humble way of living. Bush wants to keep his rich friends and the elite comfortable even if that means taking away from the rest of us.

They don't even know what's going on! They don't have a solid reason as to why this has happened...So we have to come up with $700 billion dollars to help the rich stay rich for a reason unknown to anyone? In a few days (maybe less) Congress will pass Legislation that will completely rob us of our Constitutional rights.

Meanwhile, Bush's lapdog, McCain, wants to postpone the debates on Friday until this situation is "sorted out." Yeah right, McCain. This cowardly move is almost as transparent as the Bush administration's sinister undertones.

*big deep breath*

Ok. I'm done.

For now.

Oh one more thing. Matt Damon made a comment saying if Sarah Palin becomes president it would be like a terrible Disney movie. LOL! here it is:
